Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera, Syed Ashfaq Anwar, carried out a thorough inspection of security arrangements along the CPEC motorway route from Abdul Khel to the Yarik Interchange on Wednesday.
He was joined by District Police Officer Sajjad Ahmed Sahibzada, SP Paharpur Asad Ali Shah, and SP Motorway Atiq-ur-Rehman to review safety measures aimed at protecting travelers on this strategic route.
During the visit, RPO Anwar met with officers from the Motorway Police and District Elite Force at Yarik Interchange and chaired a high-level meeting to discuss strengthening existing security protocols.
The Motorway Police gave a detailed briefing on current security arrangements, leading to important decisions to improve inter-agency coordination and emergency response capabilities.
RPO Anwar stressed that securing the CPEC route and ensuring public safety are top priorities. He ordered joint patrolling and full deployment of available resources.
He also directed the DPO Dera to ramp up search and strike operations in nearby areas, maintain vigilance over suspicious activities, and neutralize threats through coordinated efforts with partner security agencies.
